Parents of our Year 6 Confirmation candidates were invited to join our Family Educator for a night of candle making where they made a very special candle for their child as a gift for the Sacrament of Confirmation. We started the evening with a beautiful prayer, calling upon the Holy Spirit to guide the parents as they walk their faith journey with their children. The parents chose the colour and fragrance of the candle they wished to make and then poured the wax and set the wick. They then lovingly decorated the glass candle holder with the name of their child and the name of their Confirmation saint. The candles were then presented to their children as a gift on the day of their Confirmation.
