The early Christians prayed in the church of the home. Once more, in troubled times when public worship has to be restricted, we are called to pray in “the domestic church”, always aware of the promise of Jesus, “Where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them.” (Matthew 18:20).
Linked below are a collection of prayers that you might like to pray in this difficult time. They were compiled by Most Rev. Peter J. Elliot, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus, Archdiocese of Melbourne.
The Archdiocese of Sydney has presented them in a PDF Booklet, that can be downloaded here, and distributed to family, friends and parish communities. They have also created a web-page of prayer resources for use during this coronavirus pandemic.
